MEMENTO MORI, group exhibition curated by Chris Simpson, in the Palazzo Ducale, Atina. Italy
LADEN I arrived in Atina for a two week artist residency, following the death of my dear friend Sara Sheppard. This work was created out of grief and remembrance. It has inspired future works involving the practice of covering, memorialising and contemplating stone as a materiel and object onto which we project ideas of death and mourning and the deep time these stones have and will endure.

AFTERWARD and FIDGET: Leaving the rocks behind in Atina, the linen shapes were filled with salt and upholstery stuffing.
